A young teen was born half warden and half demon. Layla didn't know who she was until she met a boy named Roth; Layla isn't supposed to be around him because he is a demon. He gives her attention, and she has never been kissed before because the demon inside her could kill any living soul, and Roth doesn't have a soul, so things start to happen. As she tries to figure out who she is, she goes through lies, guilt, love, fear, and friendship to find out where she belongs.

Opinion:

I believe this book is awesome because it shows that a person who loves you would give their life for you. I kept wondering who was bad and who was good. I love the feeling of how the characters felt for each other and the adventure they went on. I cannot wait for the next book because I want to see what will become of the characters.
