Pinnacle Goddess Principles: Awakening and Unlocking Your Inner Power! is an inspirational book by Jo Anna Bennerson PhD that talks about principles to achieving success. The book is sectioned into seven chapters. It centers on principles encoded in the words “RED STAR” which stands for resilience, energy, devotion, strategic thinking, transformation, accountability, and renewal as used in each chapter. These principles are accompanied by the examples of the goddesses of Greek mythology as well as real life examples such as Bob Marley. Each goddess is admired for her outstanding qualities. The book begins with the Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena, who is praised for her resilient spirit. Her story, lessons, and examples are evidence of her resilient spirit. Apart from her, the author writes about other goddesses like the Goddess of love: Aphrodite, Goddess of devotion: Hera, Goddess of hunt: Artemis, and others. Each one directed her quality and inner power into solving life problems and overcoming obstacles.

Opinion:

In each chapter of the book, we read about a particular Greek Goddess, her quality, and how it developed into a principle used to cope with life challenges.  There was an inspirational poem and most interesting of all, I was asked some questions on how I can express each principle. For instance, when the author explained Hera's devotion, she posed a question to readers by asking, “Could you disguise yourself, if need be, to help someone on the road of their predestined passage even if it is the most murky, perilous, dangerous journey?”. Questions like this would make the reader like me stop briefly and think about how the principles can be applied in my life and what impact they would have on me and the people around me. Apart from the questions, there were suggestions which includes books to read and music to listen to.

What I love about the book is that the author provided encouragement that moved me to want to inculcate these qualities in me to improve my life. I also loved how she associated and related them to modern examples of humans and not only that of the goddesses. Most especially, I loved how the author defined each principle in a way that it becomes understandable to readers. Lastly, I appreciated the inspirational poems written by the author, which was at the end of every chapter of the book. These poems increased my inner urge to awaken my inner power. Overall, the book was captivating to me as a reader, and I would recommend it to readers who would like to overcome challenges and achieve their desired success.
