When Theo’s photos are ruined at his middle school, five other kids: Molly, Jax, Alice, Erik, and Andre are blamed for it. Everyone says that is wasn’t them. Theo’s favorite teacher suggests that they come to school over vacation week for detention or what she calls the “Justice Circle.” She wants them to figure out who vandalized Theo’s photos.
After a few days, Theo realizes that he doesn’t know his classmates as well as he thought. Read It Wasn’t Me to figure out who vandalized Theo’s photos and what happens in the “Justice Circle.”
Opinion:
It Wasn’t Me kept my attention. I liked it because it was funny, suspenseful and action-packed. One of my favorite characters was Theo because his story taught a lesson. I learned that it is better not to judge people before you know the truth. I also learned that a common goal can encourage friendships that otherwise may not have been true. This story teaches that when something bad happens, sometimes it could lead to something good but unexpected. I recommend this book for children ages ten and older who like mysterious yet somewhat realistic scenarios.
