The Hummingbird is the third book of the Order of the Bell trilogy and is about a young man named Crescenzo DiLengo. His father is Pinnochio and almost all of his friends are from fairy tales that are very real. He and his friends are currently battling the evil Avoria and her hooded and shadow monster army. The story takes Crescenzo and his troop to all the fairy tale worlds (Neverland, Wonderland, Floridale) and the real world. The fight has been brought to Earth and is raging at its peak when they finally break into the enemy's base. He and his friends must face their fears to defeat Avoria. He must take Avoria's heart and free the lost souls of his friends to turn all the worlds back to their previous state. Will he be able to save the worlds?

Opinion:

The Hummingbird was a fantastic book that made me laugh and cry. I love how Jacob Devlin took all the fairy tale characters we know and love and showed us the fierce side of them. I do recommend reading the first two books and not just jumping into the series at the very end. Back to the characters, he does make different names for most of them (example: Peter Pan - Pietro Volo) and that can get a bit confusing. There are a few harsh words used every so often in this book. I loved this wonderful, magical, and amazing book. I highly recommend it to young adults looking for an action-packed 330 pages of magic.

Though this book has a few strong words, I don't feel that it is enough to be too offensive.
