LitPick Review
All is Assuredly Well is a delightful story told from the point of view of a king and his partner. They wish to have a child, so they pray to the blue star to give them a baby princess. After praying many days, a strange thing occurs to the star and the King follows it on an allegorical journey to reach his daughter. It compiles the complexities of adopting into a neat and charming story for children. There are many obstacles on the King's journey, but the colorful backdrop shows the joy and determination of the King on his quest.
Opinion:
This story is beautiful, both in its meaning and the drawings within it. It is an allegorical tale that children of same-sex parents can hold close as a representation of their family. The plot is elegantly laid out with a marvelous ending that is predicted but thoroughly enjoyed. The King and his partner are lovable and loving as well as kind and determined. The perseverance on the King's part to have a princess is heart-warming and delightfully refreshing. The colors and details within the drawings show the beauty of the story as well as the joyfulness of the new parents. Overall, it is a great story that is beautiful for both its content and its depiction.
