Book Review for Fat Angie

The book that I am reviewing is Fat Angie by E.E Charlton-Trujillo. The age level for this book, I would say is about 13-16. The maturity level is high. A mature 6th grader might be able to read Fat Angie. 5th graders and below should not read this book because of some inappropriate parts.

This book is about a girl named Angie whose sister is missing-in-action in Iraq. Angie is very depressed. At school Angie is bullied and called Fat Angie. That is what she is known as around the school. One day a new girl named KC Romance shows up. KC and Angie become more than friends. KC always sticks up for Angie and Angie sticks up for KC. To find out more read Fat Angie.

There were a lot of good and bad elements of this book. Some good elements are that I could relate to Angie. One other is that this could happen in real life which is sad. Some bad elements are all the swearing and same sex dating and making out.

Overall, this was a good book. Like I said up above before you read it think about your maturity level and the books, which is high. If you are not ready, I suggest that you read it when you get older. So, read this book when you can!

Opinion:

I thought Fat Angie was a pretty good book. It was not the best book that I have read, but overall it was a good book.
