Dr Spowart has written an amazingly self-compassionate and spiritual book describing her spiritual and emotional growth and sharing very personal spiritual insights that she has gained through her life. Some of her experiences shared are even through several near-death experiences that she has lived through. You Are Love teaches the reader about the power of love in the universe and what that can mean for the stages of emotional and spiritual evolution that we can all experience as human beings. Some of the stages of growth that are outlined in the book are the victim stage, the shifting stage, the giving stage, and the infinity stage. Spowart's personal experiences in helping trauma and assault victims in her therapy practices also inform her deep understanding of how each of us are interconnected and grow through the stages she describes. Dr. Spowart shares that she holds several master's degrees and certifications in current therapy practices such as mindfulness, hypnotherapy, and EMDR, to name a few. She is a wise woman who readers can find open-minded and well-educated as she guides them on a quest to find happiness through evolution.

Opinion:

You are Love: The Discovery of Happiness is an inspiring book that encourages readers to develop their own understanding of how happiness is connected to an evolving understanding of divine love. It seems to be written for adults seeking spiritual understanding and also written to introduce others to Dr. Spowart. She shares through her therapy practice through her website, which is referenced briefly at the end of the book. I enjoyed her personal experiences and felt that she is a non-religious resource that some readers would be looking for when seeking greater spirituality.
