To Outwit the Fate is a book on the life of a Polish student Matt who believes that his life events are controlled by bad luck. Matt was born in a poor family and his only goal in life is to make money. His plan is to study and work full-time. He believes that once he graduates college and gets a job, he'll make enough money to live a normal life. However, his bad luck doesn't relent from being kicked out of college, to living with an older woman for sponsorship, to one day meeting his sponsor dead.

To Outwit The Fate is a psychological thriller novel by K. E. Adamus about a college student who is faced with life uncertainties, only to be met by a sponsor and be faced with a scene that would change his life drastically. Matt is a young college student. Lately, his life has been filled with unsuccessful occurrences, from being banned from college to his search for a job; every attempt towards success proved to be a failure. One might think he had a grudge with luck, but not until he was hired by an elderly woman named Mrs. Pelagia, who became his sponsor.
