The Adventures of the Flash Gang, Episode Two: Treasonous Tycoon by Sandra Waugh and M.M. Downing is set in the 1930s in Pittsburgh. The main characters are Lewis Carter and Pearl Alice Clavell, known as "Streeters." The residents of Pittsburgh believe Lewis and Pearl were killed in a fire. The truth is that Lewis and Pearl live in a empty warehouse with other members of the Flash Gang. Lewis has a number one enemy John T. Pickering, who paid Scruggs to kidnap Lewis and tried to steal the Flash Gangs secret recipe. Scruggs was hired by John T. Pickering, who is a millionaire steel baron and the mayor in Pittsburgh, but Lewis and Pearl know the truth about the actions he has planned. Scruggs is Pickering's number one assistant in helping Pickering in his plan. Lewis is on a mission to stop the two men and leads them into danger, suspense, and a well-done accomplishment. A great book to read with memorable characters and a plot that will continue to keep you on your toes!

The Adventures of the Flash Gang, Episode Two: Treasonous Tycoon has mystery and memorable characters. The characters are young teenagers, age twelve, who have a great deal of loyalty to their Flash Gang and other "Streeters". This book has a well-written plot with information for young readers to connect to and enjoy reading. Readers will enjoy how the Flash Gang characters are loyal, honest, trust worthy, and a have a great friendship. The setting of the book is in 1930s in Pittsburgh during the great depression. Each chapter has action and suspense to keep your attention on the outcome of the book. As you read, you can actually put yourself in the role of the characters. The adventures of Lewis and Pearl, and their Flash Gang friends, will give you a feeling of thrill and accomplishment. The ending of the book will leave you wondering what Lewis and Pearl will do next. I fully recommend for all young readers to read this exciting book full of adventure and suspense!! You can read the next episode of the Flash Gang to be out in stores in the year 2025.
