A half birthday isn't usually a big deal, but for 12-year-old Harper, her dream comes true: her parents finally let her start posting on social media. To Harper, this is the biggest gift she's ever received.
One day, as Harper is scrolling through her social media feed, she discovers a new filter. Harper is suddenly transported to the future where she is 22 years old. In her 12-and-a-half self, Harper always pondered about life as a 22-year-old. As she lives her future life, it is everything she's ever wanted....... and not. Her future self is not who she imagined her to be. Will Harper be able to live her dream life? Or will she be stuck in the future as the person she never expected herself to become?
Opinion:
This book is wildly entertaining and a fun-filled rollercoaster. Its relatable to people now in the social media age, and it's a really light-hearted book. I loved Harper's relationship with her sister throughout the book as well as with her friends. At the beginning of the book, Harper was having a hard time speaking up for herself, but her personality changed over time. This helped with the plot of the book because at the beginning Harper wasn't even allowed on social media, but once she got transported to the future, her success as a famous TikTok star helped her with her confidence.
