A Secret in the Forest is an adventurous book that will keep you engaged from beginning to end. The vocabulary and content of this book make it appropriate for 5th to 7th graders of both genders.
Readers who enjoy magic, fairies, romance, and a little conflict will enjoy this book. The story has a rising action and climax that is linked to the prequel, A Bridge in the Forest. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to with their playful, joyful, and sometimes brooding moods.
