Shadow Rise is the continuing adventure of Maia Greystone. Maia was unable to accomplish her mission in the first book and is now, as a result, being held captive by the Archduchess. The Archduchess is cruel and uses demonic and twisted torture methods. Maia hates this and wishes she could have stopped the bombing. When she finally escapes, she is branded a traitor by the rebels. How will Maia be able to stop the meteor Pandora when she is being hunted by the Archduchess and not trusted by the rebels? Find out in this amazing book!

Opinion:

Audrey Grey has written a wonderful fantasy novel. I love the world that Audrey transports me into with her books. Shadow Rise is very descriptive with many twists, turns, and unexpected alliances. The characters are fleshed out well. My favorite character in the book is Riser because he's secretive and cunning. This series is an amazing one. I cannot wait to read book three! I would recommend this book for ages 12 and up because there is some death involved in the story.
