Brian Kindall wrote his first novel when he was eleven years old. And although it was an admittedly clumsy attempt, he decided right away that he would practice, practice, practice, because making up stories was the job he most wanted to have when he grew up. Since then, he has written a number of books - some for grown-ups, some for kids. He's worked such adventurous jobs as a whitewater raft guide, and as a packer for a backcountry hunting camp. These days, when he's not busy at his desk, you can find Brian hiking and skiing in the mountains of Central Idaho where he lives with his wife and three kids on the shores of Payette Lake.
