Fighters are powerful, they are strong, they are the ones who stand tall when others cannot. That is Haley for you, she is the ultimate fighter. She is fighting so many battles all at once and most of them people do not even know about. She has a lot of secrets, but she is keeping them for a reason, she is protecting the ones she love. That doesn't mean she doesn't need protecting too and that is where West comes in.

West is a hot head, a rich kid with no limits, and just a complete mess when he meets Haley. He needed someone to protect, he needed a purpose and that is what Haley gave him without even realizing it.

West and Haley weren't a match made in heaven, they weren't even really a match, but they somehow became one.

Opinion:

We all know some characters are just way too perfect in books, this book does not have that problem. This book actually has it backwards, the characters all have faults, lots of them. That's okay though because this book show the growth of the characters and how they overcome the faults they have. This book really felt good to read because of that.

Katie McGarry has crafted a novel that will stick with me for a lifetime. This novel isn't perfection, but it's still beautiful and that's what I love about it. It's still so raw and I can just dive so deep into it. This is an amazing book that everyone should read. It's just a book to make you feel like change it okay and that even if things aren't okay then will be in time.

There are hints at alcohol use and sexual activities. And there is a bar in the book that appears as a setting multiple times.
